On a wing and a prayer...

I am very excited about the upcoming program for Tots at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, CA. The museum is going the distance, well, the length of a trail actually, which will guide the little ones through the galleries in a Story Book format. The premise that no child is too young for art is one I strongly believe in. I only wish that when our kids were this age, that there could have been something on this scale for them to get as excited over. The debut of this program is scheduled for June 17 or thereabouts. Round up the lil kiddos and head to the Crocker Art Museum to discovery a Story Trail for the 5 and under crowd and their family and friends.

In a future blog, I want to explore another Crocker Art Museum supported exhibit. What is different about the exhibit? How can I begin to shed light on it? It will have to wait til the next installment...

Amid thunderclouds, circling the skies of Sacramento...

Bloggy skies in the forecast. Circling blogspot.com for remains of the disaster. No signs of the missing post (it was posted on the twelfth, I misstated that it was on the eleventh earlier.)
I don't know if Carl Kassel authors the limericks, though he indeed reads them. So who writes them? More research!
Today's rumblings in the sky syncopate well with the ramblings of this keyboard.
Circling, still flying on a set of two left wings,

Grounded in Sacramento, CA

So what if it is already 2011, and I just now started my first blog? The guy who writes the limericks for NPR's weekend show, 'wait, wait don't tell me' may not be a blogger yet, either. But that doesn't quell my passionate admiration for a certain magnificent rhyme-monger, whose name I shall post on my next blog (so, blogging is one part writing, two parts research? Yikes, flying at higher altitudes than I anticipated!). Back to NPR, I've wondered how I would do during that limerick segment. Show -callers come up with the last rhyme of each line, live on the radio. I'd be nervous! Truth be told, I once held on to a web domain 'limericist.net' intent upon drumming up some cash during the St. Patty's Day retail window circa 2006. Personalized limericks. Not as random as Madlibs, but having clients fill in the blanks so I could personalize each one to have a humorous spin? Not the best business plan! Blarney!

So, I posted my first masterpiece of blog-work up on Thursday, May 11, 2011. The content pertained to my current picture book project. It was as close to a synopsis of the work as I have ever come, however...as usual, wherever electronics and I are involved, once-intact systems are known to go completely haywire. According to Blogger's sources, I am not the only blogger who was affected. Technically I wasn't even a blogger yet when I was affected. The only drier set of circumstances I might compare this irony to is called a mouth full of cotton.

Hence, until further notice:

1) I hesitate to invest much more time on writing which is potentially unrecoverable. I don't know if I will ever see yesterday's post again, and without it, my second post,(the one I now wish I hadn't posted to Facebook) was not decipherable out of context with what I posted about yesterday.

2) I will be contemplating the meaning of 'free of charge'.

(Please step up Blogger and make a writer out of me, yet.)

With all of the humor that
a buzzard in a blizzard can muster,
When you're a bird whose grounded,
you're just a fancy feather duster!

Two left wings for aviation,
